Overcome. Achieve. Succeed. Motivate. Inspire.

Join us to hear Pro Football Legend Desmond (Dez) Clark introduce his "6 Principles of Winning;" a moving compilation of narratives from his early childhood throughout his 13-year career in the NFL, and the leadership that took him to the 2006 Super Bowl. Desmond takes each audience on a gripping journey through his stories of heart-wrenching personal challenges, overcoming obstacles, and ultimately becoming one of the greatest Tight Ends in Chicago Bears history, despite not being the most naturally talented team member at any step along the way. Whether on the field, in the classroom, the boardroom, or beyond, Clark inspires and enlightens audiences in heartfelt conversation on the power of diversity and the importance of having a personal standard of excellence. Clark strives to help audiences see that both obstacles and opportunities shape character and determine success, and delivers an incredible take of personal achievement at the highest level.

About Desmond Clark:

After graduating from Wake Forest University with a degree in Communications, Desmond was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 1999. In 2003, Desmond joined the Chicago Bears becoming the 2nd all-time leading Tight-End in receptions, yards, and touchdowns, finishing up a stellar 13 year career in the NFL. Desmond helped lead the 2006 Chicago Bears to Super Bowl 41.

Life after football has been just as successful. Desmond has found success in the business world as a Financial Adviser. Daring to be more than just a former football player, Desmond wrote his first book, "Before And Beyond The Game" and serves as a Keynote Speaker around the country. Desmond uses his experience to help others develop Principles Of Winning. Also, Desmond is President of NFL Alumni Chicago Chapter. In less than a year Desmond increased membership by more than 75% and increased fundraising amount by more than 600%.

Desmond’s passion is enhancing the lives of others. A message from Dez, “Everyday I wake, my purpose is what drives me. I’ve been truly blessed to live out a dream, partly because others helped get me there. I owe it to them to help others live the life they wish. Because of that feeling of gratitude my daily purpose reads: With excellence being the standard, my purpose is to enhance the lives of others through any expertise or resources available to me within reason and with respect for my family who are primary; making every effort to transform strangers and associates alike into extended family members.”
