BOMA/Suburban Chicago announced and honored Local TOBY winners at their

Holiday & Awards Luncheon December 6, 2007.

Congratulations to our three local winners:

2800 River Road (Under 100,000 Square Feet)
Oak Brook Pointe (100,000-249,999 Square Feet)
Highland Oaks I & II (Suburban Office Park - Mid-rise)

Regional winners, Highland Oaks I & II and Oak Brook Pointe, were recognized following the keynote address preceding our EXPO on February 27.

They now continue on to compete in the final, International Level of the competition. Winners to be announced during the BOMA International Conference and The Office Building Show on June 24, 2008 in Denver.

Each year the BOMA Awards program recognizes properties that exemplify superior building quality and management practices. The highlight of the year is the naming of The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards. Winners are selected from participants at the local, regional and international levels.

Now in its 23rd year, the TOBY Awards Program is commonly recognized as the most prestigious and comprehensive program in the commercial real estate industry. Participants are judged on the effectiveness of their overall management in 11 categories, including community impact, tenant relations, energy management, emergency preparedness and training for personnel. Detailed property inspections, floor plans, building standards and photographs complete the entry portfolio and allow the judges to thoroughly examine all facets of the property and management.

Local winners advance to compete in the regional judging. Winners at the regional level will be announced at the North Central Region meeting in late January, during the BOMA International Winter Business Meeting. Regional winners then compete against properties from around the world in the international competition. The international TOBY Award winners will be announced at the BOMA International Conference and The Office Building Show in Denver in held in June, 2008.
