Ready to Roll… Cannabis is Coming

The Marijuana Market and its Impact on Commercial Real Estate

Brought to you by the Industrial Committee

The legalization of cannabis for medical and recreational use is changing our industrial real estate market. With Illinois' passage of the Cannabis Regulation and Taxation Act, it becomes even more important that we understand the impact it has on our clients and assets. Preparing a property for cannabis production and distribution requires specific considerations. We must stay ahead of the challenges that face our industry and take advantage of the opportunities that lay ahead of us.

Albert Marks of Cannabis Facilities Construction, a Division of Mosaic Construction, LLC, located in Northbrook, will lead a panel of experts examining the opportunities in commercial real estate as it relates to converting and retrofitting an existing industrial property for cannabis production and cultivation. The panel will also cover the overall design, specific building systems, and the need for increased security.

In addition, Brian Liston, Principal, Liston and Tsantilis Law, will speak on the legal hurdles that surround the cannabis business and its effect on the commercial real estate industry.

It's time for us to get ready. From cultivation...

to processing...

to dispensaries. Cannabis is Coming!
