Donations for Housing Forward

As has been our tradition, BOMA/Suburban Chicago will be collecting donations for our 2023 Charity of the Year, Housing Forward. Housing Forward and their clients have been very appreciative of BOMA/Suburban Chicago's support in 2022 and 2023! We look forward to hearing from them about their successes this year.

How can you contribute? 

This year, BOMA/Suburban Chicago will be creating gift bags for individuals in transitional housing. These individuals are independent adults with no family support who are waiting for permanent housing. Many of these individuals have jobs but cannot afford to pay rent. Housing Forward helps them into a more stable position and then helps them find a place to live that they can afford. These holiday gift bags will include items these individuals desperately need such as hard candy, winter hats, socks and hand lotion.

If you have any of these items and are willing to donate, please reach out to Jessica Urban directly so she can coordinate with you.

All items need to be shipped to or dropped off at the BOMA/Suburban Chicago office by Friday, December 1st. These items will then by packed by the Emerging Leaders SIG and given to the Housing Forward team at the Holiday and Awards Lunch.
